Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy
Ultrasound Guided Sclerotherapy (Echo-Sclerotherapy) is an in-office treatment alternative to surgical stripping. It is a modality using foam sclerotherapy performed under the guidance of ultrasound.
During the procedure, the foamed sclerosant is injected into the vein using ultrasound technology to locate the desired vein and injection site. The chemical solution irritates the lining of the vessel causing it to swell and stick together.
Ultrasound guidance is a procedure done in the office. Foam vein treatment is an extremely effective procedure that eliminates the exact source of varicose and spider veins, takes only minutes to perform, and is nearly painless. No anesthesia is necessary. The result is a more accurate, non-invasive treatment that will lead to the removal of unwanted veins.
Thank you Dr. Waterford, Tanya, and Nancy! I had a great visit to your clinic and got thoroughly educated! Thankfully, a lot of my fears were put to rest. I will highly recommend you and your team to anyone I know suffering from circulatory issues. Thanks again!
